“THE WORD” IN JOHN 1
THE WORD IS THE CREATOR (v1-3)
- as creator, He had no beginning
- without Him, there is nothing
- see Genesis 1:1 & compare
THE WORD IS THE REVEALER (v4-11)
- revealed in life
- revealed in light
- revealed in the world (but misunderstood & rejected by it)
THE WORD IS THE COMMUNICATOR (12-14)
- receiveable
- believable
- relational
- physical
- the means of communication is grace & truth
The light of creation, the light of revelation, and the light of communication are all filled with grace & truth.
